The Lloyd Park Recreation Reserve in Langwarrin is set to receive a major upgrade with an almost $6.5 million redevelopment of the sporting pavilion. The project, a collaboration between Council and the Federal Government, will replace the nearly 50-year-old building to accommodate the growing needs of the Langwarrin Football and Netball Club, Langwarrin Junior Football Club, and Langwarrin Cricket Club.
The new two-storey pavilion will offer sweeping views of the main oval and surrounding areas, along with new car parking, extended pavements for pedestrians, and upgraded facilities. The ground floor will feature four change rooms, umpires rooms, a canteen/kiosk, public toilets, first aid rooms, and storage, while the first floor will include an accessible lift, social and meeting rooms, a kitchen, toilets, and additional storage. Construction is currently underway, with a scheduled completion date by March 2024, fully funded by a $3 million contribution from the Federal Government and $3,488,626 from Council.
