The Sandfield Reserve precinct is set to undergo a transformative revitalization thanks to a partnership between the Federal and Victorian Governments. This project aims to create an inclusive and vibrant space for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy. The revitalization includes an upgraded youth space, a new fully enclosed playspace, and additional safety and amenity improvements, such as a public toilet. These enhancements are designed to meet the needs of the Carrum Downs community while providing new recreational opportunities. Funding of $1.3 million each from Council, the State, and Federal Governments, along with an additional $300,000 from the State Government’s Department of Justice Creating Safer Places Program, has made this project possible.
